ROBERT BURCH CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Bob is chief executive officer of UgMO Technologies. In addition, he is chief executive officer of Red Badge, Inc., a real estate and venture capital corporation, co-founder of Everlands, a worldwide outdoor lifestyle membership club, and co-founder of Asian American Partners. Bob was the co-founder of Eagle’s Eye, a successful retail clothier, and an early-stage investor in numerous companies including Internet Capital Group, Jawbone, Color Kinetics and Voss Water. He has a B.A. from Denison University.

PAUL PRESSLER VICE CHAIRMAN

Paul brings an extraordinary wealth of operating and consumer brand experience to the UgMO team.  He is the former President and CEO of the $16 billion global specialty retailer, Gap Inc.  He also spent 15 years at the Walt Disney Company, most recently as chairman of the resorts and parks division.  Currently, he is a director for Avon Products Inc., OpenTable, Inc. and Overture Acquisitions Corporation, and is an advisor to private equity firm Clayton, Dubilier & Rice.  He holds a B.S. in Business Economics from the State University of New York, Oneonta.

DON APRUZZESE PRESIDENT

A marketing veteran with 20 years experience, most recently Don was executive vice president and chief marketing officer for The Vehicle Production Group, an early stage automotive company. Prior to this he was the senior director of consumer marketing at AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals; vice president of broadband development at Sharewave, a wireless networking semiconductor company; director of product marketing management at MediaOne; product manager at Braun, Inc.; and held various marketing positions with Ford Motor Company. He is an graduate of The Tisch School of the Arts, New York University and holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

JOE CAHILL CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER & CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Joe is the former chief financial officer of Gamesa US where he helped transform the company’s financial operations from an early-stage renewal energy company into one with more than $900 million in revenues. He has also served as a corporate finance director at Unisys Corporation and as a consultant for Andersen Consulting (Accenture). Joe is a graduate of Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, earned an M.B.A. from Villanova University and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).

WALT NORLEY COMPANY FOUNDER

Walt is the company founder and its former CEO. Walt now oversees the Company’s Strategic Partnerships and sits on the Board of Directors. He founded the company in 2004 and was the company CEO until January 2010. Previous to UgMO, Walt ran several environmental technology companies including Global Fuel Systems, a developer of Natural Gas Vehicle fuel tanks, and IVG Composites the manufacturer of Vertex HSG an advanced composite materials company based in Russia. Walt’s initial experience in the environmental world was in the late 1980’s with Pennswood Development and their efforts to build an advanced technology facility for safely disposing industrial waste. He attended the University of Georgia on a full athletic scholarship.

JEFF CAMPBELL, Ph.D. SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, SENSOR DEVELOPMENT

Jeff holds two separate patents involving soil sensors and has published numerous articles on the topic in peer reviewed journals. He has been active for more than 20 years in soil sensor design, field trials, and interface integration systems. He is currently an organizer and editor for the International Symposium on Soil Water Measurement Using Capacitance, Impedance, and TDT. He has a Ph.D. in Physics from Dartmouth College and is a graduate of the University of Redlands where he earned degrees in Chemistry and Mathematics.

CARMEN MAGRO CHIEF AGRONOMIST

Carmen’s extensive turf management experience includes serving as senior agronomist at Floratine Products Group and as director of the Turfgrass Management Program and Research Facilities at Pennsylvania State University, where he earned a B.S. in Turfgrass Science.  He also works as an international consultant.

KATAYOUN "KATHY" SOHRABI, Ph.D. VICE PRESIDENT OF ENGINEERING

Kathy is the inventor of numerous patents in wireless network design and development. Prior to joining UgMO Technologies, she was a Systems Engineer at NextWave, a leading supplier of wireless broadband products and services, and network architect for Sensoria Corporation. She earned her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from UCLA.

KEVIN BUTLER VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES - EASTERN REGION

Kevin brings broad professional experience to UgMO.  He started his career as the kicker for the Chicago Bears NFL football team for 11 years and was a member of the 1985 Superbowl Champions. After football, he has held several management roles including President of Gridiron Golf and NFL Pro Shop, VP of Sales of the Production Group International and Director of Marketing at the The Joseph Company.  Kevin can be heard weekly throughout Georgia and the Southeast on the University of Georgia radio coverage of the Pre-Game, Post-Game and Sunday Brunch during the football season. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia and the only kicker inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.

RICK CREESE VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES - FLORIDA, CARIBBEAN

Rick brings 20 yrs of business and sales experience in several industries including commercial, industrial and residential Real Estate and property development and management throughout the State of Florida. Rick owned and operated a Crabtree & Evelyn franchise and developed a single-store Dry cleaning operation with a central plant, into a business with 9 locations in 2 counties. He handled site acquisition for the Embassy Suite Hotel chain working for the founder. He is a graduate of North Adams State and a member of the National Association of Realtors, Palm Beach Economic Council, Jupiter- Tequesta Board of Realtors, and holds a Fine Home Specialist designation.

ED HODNETT VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES - WESTERN REGION

Ed brings years of agronomy experience to UgMO. He was an agronomist for Nicklaus Design / Golfturf working in conjunction with for Nicklaus Design/Signature facilities worldwide. More recently, Ed was a consulting agronomist and partner in Turfgrass Consulting, an International Consulting Firm providing agronomy services for developers, golf course architects, club management at every level. Ed has consulted with the development and operation of more than 125 courses around the globe. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University and a Certified Golf Course Superintendent, Golf Course Superintendents Association of America.

ERIC FETSCHER DIRECTOR OF SALES, FLORIDA

Eric is a member of the Florida sales team.  He comes to UgMO with 15 years sales and business development experience from the finance industry. Eric has owned and operated several businesses including a residential and commercial finance firm located in Palm Beach,Florida for the last 12 years. He holds a degree in business from Potsdam College in New York. Eric played in the NCAA Ice Hockey Championships in 1996 and currently resides in Jupiter, Florida with his wife and 3 girls.

THOMAS KOLAR DIRECTOR OF SALES, FLORIDA

Thomas is a member of the Florida sales team. Thomas brings several years of business and sales experience in the financial service industry with Wells Fargo. He was a Business Banking Specialist – selling and cross-selling business and consumer banking solutions to existing customers and prospects. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota.
